JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University's women's golf team added another Dolphin for the 2017-18 season, Head Coach Jennifer Borocz announced Thursday.
Paula Trejolerdo will join the Dolphins in their first tournament in the fall of 2017.
"I am excited to add Paula to our roster," said Borocz. "She has a strong golf and academic background and will fit right in with our team. Paula has already achieved some incredible things in her high school career, including qualifying for the 2014 Mexican National Olympics."
Trejolerdo comes to JU by way of Mexico City, Mexico, where she went to high school at Escuela Tecnologico Mexico Bachillerato. There she placed 10th at the U.S. Teens in 2012, finished second at a Mexican regional tournament in 2012, won the same event in 2013, and qualified for the 2014 Mexican National Olympics. She was undefeated at the Copa Tex-Mex in 2015, and ranked in the Top 10 at the Mexican National Tournament for three consecutive years, 2014-2016.
Trejolerdo is the daugther of Pablo and Greta Trejolerdo, and has one sister, also named Greta. She plans to major in business administration.
