JU Battles on Day Two at Red Sky

WOLCOTT, Co. – Day two of the GolfWeek Conference Challenge lived up to its name, as Jacksonville University women's golf again battled a dynamic field and a challenging course.

The Dolphins sit 17th with one day to play at Red Sky Golf Club.

Maria Brunzell shot the best round of the day for JU, matching her round one total with a 4-over 76 and Amanda Detmer shook off a tough start to card a 77.

With new pin locations, the collective scores increased by almost an entire stroke on a day in which, unlike Monday, the course played tougher than the conditions.

Hannah Berman continues to score with the best on Par-3s, as she is even for the tournament, and Paula Trejo Lerdo is shooting even on Par-5s. Mawgan Vater has recorded two birdies and 15 pars through two rounds.

Tomorrow's final round action is a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m., with starting holes listed below:

Brunzell – 15

Berman – 16A

Detmer – 16B
