Women's XC Places Fifth at ASUN Championships

BRONX, N.Y. – The Jacksonville University women's cross country team placed fifth overall as a pair of runners earned postseason honors at the 2018 ASUN Conference Championships, Friday afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park.

Senior Nora McUmber earned First Team All-ASUN honors after she placed sixth overall in 18:26.2, while freshman Hayleigh Palotti earned Second Team All-ASUN and All-Freshman Team honors for her 11th-place finish in 18:46.6.

Finishing within 45 seconds of each other were sophomore Nicolette Worrell in 41st and freshman Rain Marti in 50th, while junior Mary Jeanne Assinzo rounded out the Dolphin contingent.

Qualifying Dolphins will race at the NCAA South Region Championship at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla. on Nov. 9.
