Alexa joined the Jacksonville University staff in August 2017 as an assistant athletic trainer working with the Women's Basketball team.
Prior to working at JU, Alexa spent 2015-2017 at Illinois State University working as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. She worked with the Men's and Women's Track & Field and Men's and Women's Cross Country teams, where she was a part of the Missouri Valley Conference championship winning Women's Indoor Track and Field team. While there, she earned her Master’s in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Training.
Alexa earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training with a minor in exercise science from Nova Southeastern University in May of 2015.
She is a Licensed Athletic Trainer by the State of Florida Department of Health, Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification, and is a member of NATA, and Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association. Alexa is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR, AED and First Aid. She is also certified in Graston Technique.
