Bo Owens joined the Dolphins in February 2012.
In the Fall of 2015 Owens began working solely with Baseball with administrative duties as the Insurance Coordinator. When Owens first came to Jacksonville University, he oversaw all aspects of the women's volleball and sand volleyball teams. In 2014 he also added work with Men’s Rowing.
Prior to Ju, Owens was the Head Athletic Trainer at Sonoma State University (SSU) in Northern California for three years. Before he was promoted the Head Athletic Trainer he was the Assistant Athletic Trainer at SSU for 6 years. Bo Has also spent 5 years as the Head Athletic Trainer for the College of Marin, a junior college, in Kentfield, CA.
Owens received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Distinction in Physical Education from SSU. He received his Master of Arts in Kinesiology from SSU. He holds a national certification by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA). He has worked as an examiner / proctor / room captain for the NATA’s Board of Certification exam. He is certified from the American Heart Association in CPR, AED, First Aid.
In his spare time, Owens likes to spend time with his wife and two daughters, working out, camping with family and friends.
