Elizabeth joined the Jacksonville University staff in August 2015 as an assistant athletic trainer working primarily with the Softball team.
Prior to working at JU, Verplank spent 2013-2015 at Southeastern Louisiana University working as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer working with the football and softball teams. While there, she earned her Master’s in kinesiology with concentrations in Sports Management and Sport Psychology.
Verplank earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training with a minor in psychology from Purdue University in May of 2013.
She is a Licensed Athletic Trainer by the State of Florida Department of Health, Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification, and is a member of NATA, Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association and the Athletic Trainers' Association of Florida. Verplank is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR, AED and First Aid. She is also a preceptor by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Education Council.
