Elevated to Director of Media Relations in August of 2015, Monyae Williamson enters her fifth year at Jacksonville University. She oversees the media relations and multimedia departments while also serving as the primary contact for football, women's basketball, and beach volleyball.
In her four-year tenure with the Dolphins, she has spearheaded the media relation efforts for several NCAA postseason appearances, including the first-ever trips by the women’s rowing (2014) and women’s basketball (2016) programs.
She chairs Jacksonville’s Hall of Fame selection committee, while also serving as a member of the ASUN’s.
Before the start of the 2014 athletic year, Williamson assisted with the redesign of Jacksonville’s official athletics website, JUDolphins.com, and two years later, she led the renewal negotiations and relaunch of the site.
She joined the Jacksonville staff after working as a student intern with High Point University’s Sports Information Department. Aiding the gameday operations of all 14 of HPU’s sports, she also assisted with the writing of player featurettes, composition of game programs and post-game summaries for highpointpanthers.com.
Williamson graduated magna cum laude from High Point in 2013 with bachelor’s degrees in sports management and business administration. In 2011, she was named the Earl N. Phillips School of Business Sophomore of the Year.
She received a master’s degree in organizational leadership at Jacksonville University in the spring of 2017.
