Quintin Payton was named the Director of Marketing at Jacksonville University in August 2017. Payton will work closely with the Associate AD for Marketing to enhance marketing efforts in all areas focusing on the game day experience.
Prior to Jacksonville University, Payton was a member of the University of West Florida Athletics Department. He first joined the staff in 2014 as the Marketing and Sales Graduate Assistant. In that role he was responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and promotions plan to maximize exposure and attendance for all departmental teams and programs. Payton also served as the liaison with student organizations and community groups as it pertained to increasing awareness and attendance. He also coordinated the distribution of marketing materials to sponsors, local vendors and University departments.
In 2016, Payton became the Athletics Marketing and Sales Coordinator for the University of West Florida. In that role he oversaw all marketing and promotion plans for UWF Athletics. He served as the primary contact for all corporate sponsorship relations for the Athletic Department. This included soliciting, developing, negotiating, coordinating, and fulfilling all corporate sponsor agreements. Quintin also oversaw UWF Cheerleading, Argie the Argonaut, Argie's Kids Club, and the Argo Armada.
Prior to the University of West Florida, Payton served as an Athletic Marketing Intern at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi from August 2013-May 2014. In that role, Payton assisted with the implementation of the annual marketing plans. He also participated in the fulfillment of in-game promotions, sponsorship elements, presentations and entertainment.
Quintin is from San Antonio, Texas, and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (2014) and his Master’s Degree from the University of West Florida (2017).
