No stranger to the JU family, Sally James officially begins her third year with the athletics department as the newly created business manger and will oversee the JU athletics operational budget.
Prior to joining JU, James was the Director of Marketing for the Times Grill Restaurant Group and helped obtain 15 federal trademarks, while also creating a new corporate identity following their brand assessment program.
James also served in the same role for the Firehouse Subs Restaurant Group (2002-05) before taking over as the Vice President for the Horizon Promotional Products.
Before moving to the First Coast, James created The James Alliance in Louisville, Ky. which developed marketing campaigns for start-up businesses and consulted with established companies seeking greater prosperity. She served as the Vice President at First National Bank of Louisville before deciding to create her own business.
A native of Louisville, Ky., James graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
James and her husband, Eddie, reside in Jacksonville with their two children, Lauren and Logan. Her son, Logan, played baseball at JU from 2003-07, while her daughter in law, Meg, is also a JU graduate. Her son in law, Eric, is attending JU.
