Sand Volleyball Hosts UNF on Wednesday
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University sand volleyball will host North Florida in a pair of matches on Wednesday, April 9 before the A-Sun Tournament begins April 18.
The first match is set for 2 p.m. with the second to follow at 4 p.m.
Jacksonville most recently won a pair of matches over Mercer on April 2 in Macon, Ga. In the first match, the Dolphins (6-12, 4-2 A-Sun) claimed three-set wins at the No. 2 (Niatha Cullen and Kendall Courtney) and No. 4 seed (Gabriela Roman and Mayara Prestes) as well as a straight-set victory at the No. 1 pairing (Sammie Strausbaugh and Taylor Nyquist) to seal the first 3-2 victory of the day.
Later, JU again spoiled the Bears’ chance of a two-match split as they knocked off the team in straight sets at the No 1, 2 and 4 flights.
UNF stands undefeated in conference play at 6-0 and 14-4 overall.
