In 2010, Diaz helped with the development of seven true freshmen which was the largest number of youth on the roster for JU since the 1998 season.
Freshman middle blocker Alyssa Robertson earned all-freshman honors after lead the team in blocks (88), while senior outside Aidan Yeager rounded out her JU career by cracking the all-time list in total blocks and block assists.
Diaz was an assistant coach at Radford University during the 2009 season prior to joining the Dolphins. She was responsible for all aspects of the program, including recruiting, as the Highlanders tallied double-digit wins (12) for the first time since 2001 en route to earning a bid to the Big South Conference Tournament.
In her collegiate career, Diaz was a four-year letterwinner and defensive specialist at Florida from 2005-08 under head coach Mary Wise. As a senior co-captain, she helped the Gators to an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance and the program’s 18th straight SEC title.
Prior to Radford, she prepped for a collegiate coaching career with an internship in the Florida volleyball office under Wise where she assisted in all aspects of the program following the completion of her eligibility.
Diaz graduated from Florida with a degree in health education in 2009.
