JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore outside hitter Candice Rose (Mechanicsville, Md.) had a match-high 14 kills and added three service aces and three blocks to lead the Jacksonville University volleyball team to a 30-15, 30-20, 30-18 sweep of Gardner Webb in Atlantic Sun Conference action Friday night at Swisher Gymnasium.

Senior outside hitter Kristy Smith (Carleton, Mich.) and junior outside hitter Radka Dimitrova (Sofia, Bulgaria) had seven kills each as the Dolphins (6-9, 1-2 A-Sun) hit .304 for the match, while holding the Bulldogs (2-16, 1-2) to a .029 hitting percentage.

Senior middle hitter Brooke Ahrens (Benson, Ill.) recorded six kills and seven blocks, while senior setter Kristin Withrow (St. Petersburg, Fla.) had 30 assists, six kills, five digs and four blocks. Freshman libero Erin Donivan (Sarasota, Fla.) led the Dolphins defensively with 11 digs, while Smith added nine.

Talia Ogle led Gardner-Webb with seven kills and 12 digs, and Melanie Custer had 13 assists. The Dolphins return to action Saturday when they host Campbell in A-Sun play at 7:30 p.m. at Swisher Gymnasium.
