Volleyball Wins Third Straight with 3-0 Victory Over Bethune-Cookman

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Sophomore outside hitter Eva Stoilova (Sofia, Bulgaria) tallied 10 kills and finished with a .333 hitting percentage while junior setter Erin Donivan (Sarasota, Fla.) finished with 25 assists to lead the Dolphins to a 3-0 (30-20, 30-21, 30-17) win over Bethune-Cookman, Wednesday evening in a non-conference match at Moore Gymnasium. The Dolphins, who have won five of their last six matches including three consecutive sweeps, improve to 5-9 on the year while the Wildcats fall to 4-5.

Junior middle hitter Danielle Neville (Greenwood Village, Colo.) also contributed to the JU offense with three service aces while sophomore outside hitter Kerstin Erickson (St. Charles, Ill.) and senior libero Kelly Ryals (Gainesville, Fla.) led the Dolphin defense with eight and seven digs, respectively. Sophomore setter Erin Hickman (San Antonio, Texas) also dished out 14 assists as the entire JU bench was used during the contest. Bethune-Cookman managed to only hit .000 as a team in the contest despite the Dolphins only tallying one team block.

JU will continue A-Sun play this weekend as the Dolphins host Campbell on Friday, Oct. 15, at 7:30 p.m. and Gardner-Webb on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m. in Swisher Gymnasium.
