VOLLEYBALL BLOG: Nadia Booker edition (10/5)
The Dolphins were hyped up for the weekend of home games!

It started Friday with a game against the Mercer Bears who put forth a great fight but we were still able to take the win! We had our home crowd on our side cheering us on which helped us through the journey.

It was a long fight, and it took us five games but we were able to win the game. We were able to put one of our seniors, Katherine Kane (KK) back in action. She had been out for a couple of weeks with an ankle injury and we were happy to have her back on the court. We followed our game plan which in turn let us come out with a “W”. Our passers did a great job of getting the ball to our setter so that our middles could go to work and that is exactly what they did!

Kylie Jacob received the “Dolphin” for this game, showing how well she played and how hard she worked! After the game, Niatha Cullen received a personal shout out from our head coach Shaun Kupferberg for remaining disciplined on her offense and defense! Way to go Ni Ni!!!

Saturday afternoon we battled Kennesaw State. We put forth a great fight but unfortunately, we played down a level which ended up in a loss for us. Our blocking and dig errors were a major setback throughout the match, but on a positive note, it showed us what we needed to work on for the upcoming week of practice so that we will be prepared for next weekend’s games.

This coming weekend the Dolphins travel to Tennessee! We are looking forward to the 12-hour bus ride full of team bonding, playing Catch Phrase, and watching chick flicks! In addition, we are excited to battle ETSU and USC Upstate. Hopefully, we bring home two more wins!
