JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior point guard Shannon Wynn (Wasilla, Alaska), junior guard Lana Labura (Zagreb, Croatia) and sophomore post player Milica Miljkovic (Kikinda, Yugoslavia) each recorded a double-double to help the Jacksonville University women's basketball team to a lopsided 103-50 exhibition win over the Smokey Mountain Swarm Thursday night in Swisher Gymnasium.

Labura tallied 30 points and 16 rebounds to lead all players in both categories, while also finishing with seven assists. Miljkovic tied Labura for game-high rebound honors with 16 while scoring 13 points. Wynn, meanwhile, finished with 19 points and dished out 11 assists.

"I'm very please with the way we played in the first half," head coach Melissa Taketa said. "We had some bright spots, but there are some things we still need to work on. We were able to play a lot of people tonight, and we'll get to better evaluate how far we've come as a team once we review the game film."

JU outrebounded the Swarm 63-47, including 14 rebounds from sophomore forward Kat Sungy.

The Dolphins converted 50 percent of their shots from the field, on 40-of-80 shooting, including a sizzling 45 percent from beyond the 3-point arc (9-of-20). JU had a total of four players finish with double-digit scoring totals, including senior guard Angela Walker (Orlando, Fla.) who scored 10 points in 14 minutes of action.

JU jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. The lead was as high as 33 in the first half as the Dolphins held a 51-28 advantage when the halftime buzzer sounded. The Dolphin lead never dipped below 25 in the second half as JU won the game going away.

Forward D'Shawn Watts led Smokey Mountain with a double-double of her own, tallying 18 points and 14 rebounds. But the Dolphin defense held the Swarm to a .253 shooting mark from the field on 20-of-79 shooting.

The Dolphins conclude their exhibition season on Monday, Nov. 13 when they play host to the Norkopping Flamingos at 7 p.m. in Swisher Gymnasium. JU tips off its regular season on Saturday, Nov. 18 when the Dolphins play Davidson College at 5 p.m. in Swisher Gymnasium. The game will be a double-header with the men's team as they take on Coastal Carolina.
