JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU men's and women's basketball season gets underway on Friday as the two teams start with an exhibition doubleheader at Swisher Gymnasium.

The women's team will open the doubleheader at 5 p.m. against St. Leo, with the men facing Clark-Atlanta in the nightcap.

Season tickets will be on sale at the games. General admission season tickets are $150 and season tickets with access to the Green and Gold room during pregame are $190.

"We're excited to get on the floor and get a game under our belts," said JU head men's coach Cliff Warren. "We need to get our young guys experience early so that they can contribute whenever they are called upon."

The women's team, picked to win the Atlantic Sun Conference championship in the preseason poll, returns all five starters from last year's team that won a program-best 21 games.

"I think we're ready to get on the floor and see where we are," said JU head women's coach Jill Dunn. "We have some lofty goals that we want to achieve and it starts this Friday."
