After getting back to its winning ways against Gardner-Webb, the JU women's basketball team ends its homestand on Monday against Campbell.
The Dolphins (17-4, 7-1), off to their best start in program history and conference play, will face the Camels (9-12, 4-4) on Monday at 7 p.m. at Swisher Gymnasium. The contest can be seen live on www.judolphins.com as part of ASun.TV.
JU trails the all-time series against Campbell, 10-5, but has won the last three meetings between the two schools.
Dolphins still streaking
Despite the home loss to ETSU, JU is in the midst of a program record eight consecutive conference road games and seven consecutive road games.
The Dolphins are also 5-0 at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena after an 84-53 win over Gardner-Webb on Feb. 2
Against Gardner-Webb, JU tallied a season-high 84 points and was the second largest output under the tenure of head coach Jill Dunn. Junior guard Virginia Gregoire tallied three consecutive 20-point games for the first time in her career after connecting on 9-of-15 shots from the floor while tallying six rebounds, three assists and committing no turnovers. Junior guard DaVina Hamilton finished with 17 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field to go along with seven assists and two steals. Junior guard Regina Omoite racked up the second double-double of her career (12 points and a career-high tying 10 rebounds) while senior forward Ashley Williams chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds and three steals. Freshman guard Shunice Hardy also added a season-high seven points and sophomore forward Crystal Grable tallied a career-best three blocks.
