A-Sun Launches NCAA Grant-Dedicated Web Page
MACON, Ga. – The Atlantic Sun Conference launched a web page, www.atlanticsun.org/wbasketball/grant, dedicated to following the year-long women’s basketball marketing and promotions grant the conference received from the NCAA.

This page will serve as a one stop info center for upcoming promotions from the league's 11 institutions. It will feature news articles, videos and updates from the conference and the schools throughout the year-long program.

“We know our institutions have embraced the NCAA Women’s Basketball Marketing Grant Program and this web page allows us the opportunity to showcase each and every one of their successes as they promote their women’s basketball programs,” said Sherri Booker, Atlantic Sun Senior Associate Commissioner and Senior Woman Administrator. “There will be many events to follow this year and we encourage everyone to visit our website frequently.”

In June, the NCAA awarded 12 institutions and two conferences funds as part of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Grant Program to increase awareness, exposure and attendance of women’s basketball. The Atlantic Sun received more than $50,000 from the NCAA and will distribute the money to its 11 institutions so that they can best meet the NCAA's desired goals of the program.

The other 2010-11 grant recipients include, Bowling Green State University; Columbia University; University of Dayton; University of Hartford; Kansas State University; Miami University; Southern Illinois University at Carbondale; Stanford University; University of Florida; Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; West Virginia University; Xavier University and the West Coast Conference.
