Women’s basketball joins Hearts for the Holidays Campaign
Christmas is more than 30 days away, but the JU women’s basketball team is already spreading some cheer through the Hearts for the Holidays Campaign.

Bank of America sponsors the campaign which has groups design personal Christmas cards for children in the hospital, the elderly and those serving in the armed forces. Groups are given the materials to design and encouraged to send a message and draw pictures to customize their card.

“We thought this would be something that our team could participate in that would bring some happiness to the children, elderly and armed forces that will not be able to share Christmas with their families,” said JU head coach Jill Dunn. “If we can touch just one of these people by the cards that we have made then we feel like we done our job.”

The Dolphins designed more than 100 cards to send though the mail to the local team leader that will distribute the cards.
