With another Veterans Memorial Arena victory last night, the Jacksonville University women’s basketball team puts their perfect home court record on the line against USC Upstate on Saturday, Feb. 1. The contest is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Facing off for the 12th time, JU holds a slight 6-5 all-time series tip over the Spartans. The teams last met on Feb. 25, 2013 and the Dolphins used a 25-4 run in the final 10 minutes to claim a 73-54 victory. Sophomore guard Queen Alford scored her career-high with 25 points in the game.
JU LAST OUTING: PICTURE PERFECT AT HOME
A 73-56 win over East Tennessee State on Thursday evening allowed the Fins to remain perfect at home and improve to 9-10 overall and 6-2 in the Atlantic Sun. Freshman guard Sherranda Reddick led three other double-digit scorers with 14 points.
• JU has a record of 4-1 when scoring between 70-80 points
• The team shot 44.1 percent (26-of-59) from the floor and improved to 6-1 when knocking in between 40-50 percent from the field

The Spartans (10-9, 5-3) are currently riding a four-game
winning streak. They defeated North Florida last night by a score of 62-51 and
Brittany Clency scored a career-high 20 points in the contest. Averaging 10.0
PPG the sophomore guard closely trails the Spartans scoring leader sophomore center
Brittany Starling who pulls in 10.7 PPG.
