Blog #2: Coach Yo’s Quest for Gold

Coach Yo's Bahamian National Team opens CBC play today against the U.S. Virgin Islands and she still took the time to send in blog #2 of her travels.

Hello from the British, VI!! Tortola to be exact!

So excited! So inspired! So honored to be here!  It's GAMEDAY ya'll and before we get to that let me fill you in about the journey here!

It started Saturday at 4:45 a.m.! We all met at the Sir Lynden Pindling Airport in Nassau and an 11 hour and 45 minute boat ride later, we arrived!

Since then it's been pretty calm...well our game shorts didn't show up and one of our players didn’t either :-)

Speeding up to today, we're all here and ready to go! Our first opponent is the US Virgin Islands! They are a small team but tough and suited with a few collegiate players of the past and present.

We will have to be focused and ready for the physical play of the USVI and the tournament. We had a great shoot around today and everyone seems locked in and ready to go!

You can watch us at 4:15 p.m. on fibaamericas.com. We will be the home team! Join us as we begin our quest for gold!!
