Dolphins Race in NCAA South Regional XC Championships

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Dolphins ended their season at the 2013 NCAA Division I South Regional Cross Country Championships on Friday, Nov. 15. The race was held at the Harry Pritchett XC Course at the University of Alabama.

Senior Svenja Meyer earned All-Regional recognition after crossing 21st of 194 runners in the women’s 6k (20:44.58).

Freshmen Katy Solis finished 82nd (21:49.52) in the 6k, while Caitlin Marino crossed 135th (22:44.99) in the 6k.

Solis’s 6k time of 21:49.52 is fourth all-time in Jacksonville history and Marino’s time of 22:44.99 is 12th all-time on the list.

"Svenja put herself up front from the start and gave herself a chance to run well," Head Coach Ron Grigg said. "Both Katy and Caitlin ran solid and consistent. It was a very good day."
