Women's Golf Claim Second at North-South Women's Collegiate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville's Melissa Holland (Jacksonville, Fla.) fired a plus-16 160 (81-79) to finish third, just one stroke back of second-place finisher Mara Mazzoni of Oakland as the Dolphins took a second place finish in the North-South Women's Collegiate hosted by Butler University held at Jacksonville Beach Country Club. JU shot a 653 (327-326) eight shots back of first place Oakland University.

Kristen Yeomans (Coral Springs, Fla.) followed Holland, finishing in a tie for sixth after firing a 20 over-par 165 (80-84), while Winnie Dorminey (Jacksonville, Fla.) (+21, 81-84) and Ulrika Norden (Stockholm, Sweden) (+21, 86-79) each finished one shot back with a 165 in a four-way tie for eighth place. Amanda Grigoriou (Bluffton, SC) finished in a tie for 29th to round out the Dolphin's scoring, firing a plus 30 174 (85-89).

Oakland University teammates Cherly Tooshkenig and Mara Mozzoni claimed the top two finishes for the tournament, follwed by Holland and Bulter duo Sallie Zubek and Joni Reynolds.

Oakland University also won the team competition, shooting a 645 (329-316), followed by JU and host Butler.
