Women's Golf Places 12th at Ryder/Florida Women's Intercollegiate

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. - JU sophomore Melissa Holland (Jacksonville, Fla.) shot a 238 (84-74-80) to finish 28th out of 63 and lead Jacksonville University to a 12th-place finish at the Ryder/Florida Women's Intercollegiate this weekend at the Don Shula Golf Resort in Miami Lakes, Fla. Florida State won the annual event with a three-round total of 900 (293-300-307), followed by Florida (911), South Florida (918), Miami (930) and Florida Atlantic (940) to round out the top five.
Sophomore Winnie Dorminey (Jacksonville, Fla.) finished 44th for JU with a 250 (82-81-87), while Pamela Shelly (Alachua, Fla.) placed 53rd (256) and Krysten Yeomans (Coral Springs, Fla.) shot a 267 to place 61st. Camilla Hilland of Miami earned individual medallist honors with a 3-over-par 219 (70-70-79), while Florida State's Kristin Tamulis finished one stroke back with a 4-over 220 (71-75-74).
The Dolphins will wrap up the regular season April 14-17 at the Atlantic Sun Championship at the Howey-In-the-Hills (Fla.) Mission Inn Resort.
