Women's Golf Finishes Eighth at Atlantic Sun Championship

HOWIE-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - JU sophomore Winnie Dorminey (Jacksonville, Fla.) shot a three-round total of 244 (85-84-75) to finish in a tie for 16th as JU fired a 1,019 (347-339-333) to place eighth at the Atlantic Sun Championship in Howie-In-The-Hills, Fla. Campbell captured the conference championship with a 933 (316-312-305), followed by UCF (938), Georgia State (950), Florida Atlantic (951) and Jacksonville State (978), respectively. Florida Atlantic's Jessica Polus earned Individual medallist honors after shooting a 3-over-par 222 (75-73-74) on the 6,042-yard Par-73 course.

Freshman Pamela Shelly (Alachua, Fla.) fired a 258 (87-85-86) to finish in a tie for 29th, while sophomore Melissa Holland (Jacksonville, Fla.) finished in a tie for 33rd with a 249 (86-85-88) and sophomore Erika Norden (Stockholm, Sweden) finished 40th with a 263 (89-90-84). Freshman Krysten Yeomans (Coral Springs, Fla.) shot a 274 (94-85-95) to place 47th.

UCF's Frederica Piovano shot a 5-over-par 224 (72-76-76) to finish second, followed by Florida Atlantic's Natalia Navarro (225) and Campbell's Josefina Usandizaga (227) and Sharon O'Neill (229) to round out the top five.
