Women's Golf Finishes Ninth at North/South Intercollegiate March 21, 2005
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior Pamela Shelley (Alachua, Fla.) fired a 157 (75-82) to place in a tie for fifth as the Dolphins shot a 693 (333-360) to finish ninth at the North/South Intercollegiate. Bethune-Cookman carded a 632 (304-328) to earn the team title on the par-72, 5,903-yard course at the Jacksonville Beach Golf Club in Jacksonville, Fla. The Wildcats' Maria Dunne won individual medal honors, shooting a 151 (75-76) in the two-day tournament. Senior Melissa Holland (Jacksonville/First Coast) finished in a tie for 31st by carding a 172 (80-92), while freshman Heather Fudge (Charlottetown, PEI) fired a 173 (83-90) to tie for 35th place. Junior Kirsten Yeomans (Coral Springs, Fla.) finished 61st by carding a 191 (95-96) over the two-day tournament. The Dolphins return to action in Ryder State Collegiate Championships in Miami, Fla., on April 1-3.
