Women's golf in ninth at the Pelican Preserve Invitational

FT. MYERS, Fla. - Camilla Loeveid fired rounds of 76 and 75 on Monday to get into a tie for third entering the final round of the Pelican Preserve Invitational on the par 72 Pelican Preserve Golf Club.

Loeveid sits just four shots behind South Florida's Jessica Buchta, the indivudal leader at three-over par, 147, after carding a two-under par 70 in the afternoon round.

"Camilla is really starting to play well and she had a great day today," said JU head coach Jim Taketa. "She has been working hard the past few weeks on her game and it is starting to show with her play."

Loeveid led the Dolphins to rounds of 317 and 324 to finish at 641 to finish in ninth place entering the final round. South Florida leads the nine-team competition at 607 after carding an 11-over par 299 in the afternoon round.

Jessica Green is second on the Dolphins lineup and is in a tie for 23rd after round of 78 and 80 to end the day at 14-over par, 158. Alexandra Andersen is in a tie for 40th after carding rounds of 80 and 84 to finish at 20-over par, 164.

Therese Karlsson is in 46th with rounds of 83 and 85 to finish at 24-over par, 168. Vicki Nektheden had back-to-back 94s to finish alone in 50th at 188.

The Dolphins will tee off in the final round on Tuesday morning.
