Women's golf finishes 11th at Ryder Women's Collegiate Championship

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. - The Jacksonville women's golf team finished in 11th place over the weekend at the Ryder Florida Women's Collegiate Championship at the par 72 Don Shula's Golf Club.

Alexandra Andersen and Jessica Green were the top finishers for JU, posting a three-round total of 239 to tie for 37th.

Florida State claimed the team title in the 12-team event, carding a three-round total of 893 to win by six over Rollins. Rollins' Charlotte Campbell won the individual competition with a three-round total of five-over par, 221.

The Dolphins had a three-round total of 979 to finish 11 shots ahead of A-Sun rival Stetson and 24 shots behind Florida Atlantic.

Andersen and Green had identical scores for all three rounds, opening with a 79, following up with an 82 and finishing with a 78 in the final round.

Heather Fudge posted rounds of 85, 82 and 81 to finish in 50th place at 248. Camilla Loeveid had rounds of 86, 88 and 83 to finish in 55th at 257.

Therese Karlsson was forced to withdraw from the individual competition in the second round, but posted an 83 in the first round and an 82 in the second round, both of which counted to the team's score.

The Dolphins wrap up their season at the Atlantic Sun Championship that starts on April 10.
