FT. MYERS, Fla. - Therese Karlsson carded the low round of the day for the Jacksonville women's golf team, posting a three-over par 75, as the Dolphins finished off their season-opening event at the Pelican Preserve Invitational.

"This was a good event for our team to get some experience against some very good competition," said JU head coach Jim Taketa. "Therese played really well today, but it's nice to finally get a tournament under our belt to see the things that we need to improve."

Miami's Jessica Steward posted an even-par 72 to win the individual competition at 209, seven-under par. Texas Tech rallied past Louisville to win the 15-team competition with a three-round total of 879.
