BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Final Results

The Jacksonville women's golf team battled through wind and rain to finish fifth at the 2007 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship on the par-72 Keith Hills Country Club.

The Dolphins final round of 321 was led by Heather Fudge and Camilla Loeveid. Loeveid carded a seven-over par 79 and Fudge posted a five-over par 77 on a day when the course played two strokes higher than the first two rounds.

"I'm proud of the effort that the girls gave today," said JU head coach Jim Taketa. "We played in some tough conditions this morning, but we kept working throughout the round - which has been our style all season."

Campbell won the eight-team event by posting a 303 to finish at 36-over par for 54 holes. Alejandra Shaw set a tournament record for margin of victory and lowest score, finishing with a 54-hole total of four-under par to win by 14.

The Dolphins finished the tournament with a total of 948, just 15 shots behind fourth place Stetson.

Fudge's final round 77 moved her into a tie for 12th individually while Loeveid's round pushed her into a tie for 17th.

Jessica Green shot a eight-over par 80 in the final round to tie for 21st. Therese Karlsson had an 85 to finish in a tie for 23rd while Alexandra Anderson shot an 84 to tie for 32nd.
