Women's golf takes sixth at the Lady Braveheart Challenge

BEAUMONT, Calif. - Danielle Gibb carded an 84 in the second round to finish in a tie for 13th in leading the JU women's golf team to a sixth place finish at the Lady Braveheart Challenge.

The Dolphins posted a second round 332, up seven shots from the 325 in the first round to finish at 657 in the 16-team event.

Cal Poly won the team title with a 36-hole total of 629. Cal Poly's Stephanie Yocum won the individual title with rounds of 75 and 76 to finish at seven-over par, 151.

Heather Fudge rebounded from an 84 in the first round with a seven-over par 79 to finish in a tie for 21st at 163. Alexandra Andersen finished in a tie for 34th with a final round of 86 coupled with her 80 on Monday.

Jessica Green also rebounded with an 83 in the final round after an 87 on Monday, finishing in a tie for 48th. Therese Karlsson posted an 87 to finish in a tie for 52nd.

Jessica Williams improved by nine shots, going from a 93 to an 84 to tie for 73rd.

The Dolphins are back in action again on Feb. 25 when they host the inaugural JU Invitational at Windsor Parke.
