JU posted a 317 in the morning round and a 327 in the second round to tie for 10th in the 17-team event. Cincinnati leads with a two-round total of 608, holding a seven-shot lead over South Florida.

“We had a great morning round, but we struggled to finish in the afternoon,” said JU assistant coach Pamela Shelley. “Today was a long day, but we’ve got one more round to go and we’ll see how well we can do tomorrow.”

In the morning round, JU got a 77 from Paige Gifford, an 80 from Morgan Jackson with Allison Cornell and Jessica Williams each carding an 85.

In the afternoon session, Andersen and Gifford each posted an 80, with Jackson and Cornell shooting 82 and Williams shooting an 87.

Gifford is tied for 27th at 13-over par, 157, posting two of her better rounds of the spring.

Jackson is tied for 50th at 18-over par, 162, with Cornell tied for 66th at 23-over par and Williams in 80th at 28-over par.

The Dolphins will wrap up the tournament on Saturday with the final round.
