Women’s golf takes 12th at the Lady Paladin Invitational
The JU women’s golf team carded a 322 in the final round to take home 12th place at the Lady Paladin Invitational on the par-72 Furman University Golf Course.

Morgan Jackson tied for 30th in the individual competition at 22-over par, 238, carding an eight-over par 80 in the final round.

Chattanooga won the 17-team event with a three-round total of 915, tying the best round of the tournament with a 302 in the final round.

JU finished the 54-hole event at 966, beating Atlantic Sun Conference rival Mercer and 20 shots back of A-Sun powerhouse ETSU.

Kristen Boettcher carded a seven-over par 79 in the final round to tie for 34th at 23-over par. Jessica Williams posted the best round of the day for JU, carding a six-over par 78 to tie for 43rd at 26-over par, 242.

Meghan Hughes carded an 89 to finish in 74th at 35-over par, 251. Carlie Gehlhausen posted an 85 in the final round to finish in a tie for 84th at 259, 43-over par.

The Dolphins next time out will be their second home event of the season – the JU Classic at Hidden Hills Country Club in February.
