Women's Rowing Headed to D Finals on Sunday

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Racing against the top crews in the nation, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champion Jacksonville University women's rowing team continued day No. 2 of the NCAA Championships in the C/D Semifinals.

The Varsity Eight boat, coxed by senior Maycee Dioneda, were the first to take the water in an 8:45 a.m. race. The Dolphins finished in fifth place with a time of 7:11.23, 15 seconds behind Oklahoma.
The Second Varsity Eight boat completed its event in 7:42.39 while the Varsity Four crew concluded Saturday’s races with a mark of 9:06.39.

With their respective finishes, all three boats advanced to Sunday’s D Final. Jacksonville’s V4 crew will kick off the day at 8:30 a.m. in competition against Massachusetts, Northeastern and Boston University. They will be followed by the Dolphins’ V8 boat at 8:50 a.m. and the 2V8 at 9:10 a.m.
