2007-08 Women's Rowing
2008: As a junior, she rowed in the six seat with the Varsity 8 and Varsity 4…with the V8, she helped the squad to its second consecutive state title at FIRA’s…with the V4, she took home the Margaret McNiff Trophy over 49 universities at the Dad Vail Regatta...the win was JU’s first gold medal in 10 years…she also earned a silver medal at FIRA’s…in the fall, she earned a silver medal (V8) and a bronze (V4) at the Head of the South…earned academic all-conference honors.

2007: As a sophomore, she rowed port for the Varsity 8 which earned silver medals at the Rollins Invitational and FIRA’s while also garnering a bronze at the Head of the South in the fall…as a port for the Varsity 4, she tallied gold medals at the Rollins and FIRA’s and silver medals at the Head of the South and the Petrakis Cup…also a member of the Varsity 4 which placed fourth out of 51 entries at the Dad Vail Regatta.

2006: A member of the Varsity 8, she earned three gold medals (two at Head of the South, one at SERC’s)...took home silver at the First Coast Head Race.

HS: Three-year letterwinnner at Mainland Regional High School...as a senior, she rowed port side for the Mustangs... as a junior, she rowed to first place at GW invitational, a silver finish at the Stotesbury Cup, and a bronze at Greenheads indoor competition...as a sophomore, earned a third place finish at the Stotesbury Cup.

Personal: Born July 25, 1987, in Somers Point, N.J....daughter of Rolf and Barbara Bechtold...has one brother, Andrew; and one sister, Christina...majoring in biochemistry.
