Georgia State Defeats Jacksonville 3-2 In Double Overtime

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Georgia State women's soccer (4-2/1-0) team defeated the Jacksonville Dolphins (2-3/0-1) 3-2 in double overtime off a corner kick in the 112th minute today at Panthersville.

Sophomore Kara Palmquist scored the first goal of the game for the Lady Panthers at 34:00. The Dolphins responded to the Lady Panthers goal and Forward Marit Foss, assisted by Stine Kloster, tied the game 1-1 going in to halftime.

Dolphins' Foss scored her second goal of the game taking the lead for the first time. Georgia State forward Chandra Yorgason scored her fourth goal of the season bringing the score to 2-2.

At the end of regulation the score stood at 2-2. After the a scoreless first overtime, the game went into double overtime. In the 112th minute Forrest scored the game-winning goal with a header of a corner kick by Yorgason.

The Lady Panthers lead the series between the Dolphins 5-1.
