JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University women's soccer team returns to action Wednesday night when they travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to take on No. 23 Florida State in a non-conference match at 7 p.m.

The Dolphins enter the match 1-0, after defeating McNeese State 5-0 Friday night at the FAU Kickoff Classic in Boca Raton, Fla. Freshman midfielder Crystal Armstrong (Griswold, Conn.) led the team with two goals, while senior forward Marit Foss (Hamresanden, Norway) scored one goal and had two assists.

Florida State (2-0) earned the 23rd ranking in this week's American Soccer Writers poll after defeating South Florida and No. 6 Florida.

JU won the last meeting between the two schools, 2-1, on Oct. 10, 1998 and has a 1-2 all-time record versus the Seminoles. The Dolphins have won their last four regular-season games dating back to Oct. 22 of the 1999 season.

After the contest against Florida State, the Dolphins will open their home schedule Sept. 8 when they host Florida Atlantic, South Alabama and Howard in the 2000 JU Nike Legends Classic.
