Freshman defender Crystal Armstrong (Griswold, Conn.) scored two first-half goals to lead the Jacksonville University women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Troy State Sunday afternoon at the Ashley Sports Complex.

With the win, the Dolphins improve their record to 15-1-0 overall and remain undefeated in TAAC play with a 7-0-0 record. The victory extends the Dophins' school-record winning streak to 14 as JU set school records for wins in a season (15) and shutouts in a season (9). The loss drops the Trojans to 2-12-0 on the year, 0-7-0 in league play.

Armstrong opened the scoring for the Dolphins at 31:32 in the match with a header off a cross by senior midfielder Erin Bitterli (St. Petersburg, Fla.). Armstrong's second goal came with three minutes left in the first half off of a re-direct pass from senior forward Stine Kloster (Stavanger, Norway).

Kloster added the Dolphins' final goal at the 74:16 mark when she knocked in a pass 15-yards out from senior forward Marit Foss (Hamresanden, Norway). The assist was Foss' nation-leading 24th of the season.

The Dolphins return to action Thursday, Oct. 19 when they travel to Birmingham, Ala. to take on TAAC opponent Samford at 7 p.m.
