Freshman midfielder Erika Chapman (Bradenton, Fla.) scored with ten minutes left in the match but it was not enough as South Florida defeated the Jacksonville University women's soccer team 2-1 Wednesday evening at the USF Soccer Complex ending the Dolphins school-record winning streak at 16.

The loss drops the Dolphins to 17-2-0 overall as they remain undefeated in TAAC play with an 9-0-0 record. The Bulls improve to 6-8-1 on the year.

The Bulls opened the scoring early at 10:21 in the match when Siri Nordby scored off a cross by Christina Gaudion. Nordby scored the game-winning goal just 13 minutes into the second half off cross by Julie Lechner.

The Dolphins got on the board at the 80:59 mark when Chapman knocked in a cross from senior forward Marit Foss (Hamresanden, Norway). The assist by Foss was her nation-leading 26th of the year. Sophomore goalkeeper Melissa Cancio (Hialeah, Fla.) recorded four saves in the Dolphins' loss.

The Dolphins return to action Friday, Nov. 2 when they travel to Boca Raton, Fla. for the 2000 TAAC Championships.
