JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU was picked as the favorite to win the 2001 Atlantic Sun women's soccer championship today in a voting by the league's head coaches. The Dolphins received six of a possible 11 first-place votes.
JU returns seven starters from last year's record-breaking squad, which captured both the Atlantic Sun regular-season and tournament championships. The Dolphins finished with a 19-3 overall record and a perfect 9-0 mark in conference play en route to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
