Erika Chapman Named A-Sun Women's Soccer Player of the Week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore forward Erika Chapman (Bradenton, Fla.) was honored as the Atlantic Sun Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. She is the first Dolphin to be honored as Player of the Week this season.

Chapman broke out this week scoring her first two goals of the season to lead the Dolphins in a 5-1 win over conference rival Jacksonville State on Thursday. She followed that performance on Saturday with her third goal in two matches, scoring JU's only goal in a 1-1 tie with Samford. Chapman's three goals increase her career goal total to seven.

JU is currently ranked sixth in the Atlantic Sun with a 6-3-1 overall record and 3-2-1 in conference play.

The Dolphins return to action on Saturday, October 6, against South Florida, in Tampa at 5 p.m.
