Gainesville, Fla. -- The 13th-ranked Florida Gators scored four first period goals and went on to shutout Jacksonville University, 7-0, Friday in an exhibition game at the Gators practice field. The match was played in three 30-minute periods.

The defending SEC champions got three consecutive goals from Robin Fulton, while Kara Rao, Megan McMillan, Crystal Frimpong and Jamie Garside each had a goal.

Freshman Regan Rone (South Amboy, N.J.) and junior Inge Heiremans (Tremelo, Belgium) had the Dolphins' only two shots on goal. Junior Sarah Scalese (Brewster, Mass.), making her first career start in goal for JU, made one save.

The Dolphins play their final preseason game on Sunday, August 25, against a local exhibition team at the Ashley Sports Complex at 4 p.m.
