Orlando, Fla. - The Jacksonville University women's soccer team fell to George Washington, 2-1, Friday afternoon in their first match at the UCF/Kappa Invitational at UCF Soccer Field. Senior Brooke Moore (Tampa, Fla.) scored the lone goal for the Dolphins.

George Washington grabbed the lead in the first half, as Kim Warner scored from the top of the box in the 29th minute off a feed from Ina Kain to put the Colonials in front, 1-0. George Washington took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

JU tied the game, 1-1, in the 64th minute as Moore scored off a feed from junior Inge Heiremans (Tremelo, Belgium). Warner put the Colonials ahead for good in the 84th minute, heading a corner kick from Kain in the back of the net for the match-winner.

The Dolphins play Quinnipiac in their second game of the UCF/Kappa Invitational on Sunday at 12 p.m. at UCF Soccer Field.
