NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Jacksonville University women's soccer team scored three goals in each half to shut out Lipscomb University, 6-0, Saturday afternoon at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex. Junior Inge Heiremans (Tremelo, Belgium) led the Dolphins scoring two goals, one in each half. The Dolphins have now won six games in a row after dropping their season opener.

JU got on the board in the 24th minute of action as junior Erin Bitterli (St. Petersburg, Fla.) scored her first goal of the season to put the Dolphins ahead 1-0. Heiremans scored 29 seconds later with the assist coming from Bitterli to make the score 2-0. Senior Vanessa Illanes (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) made it 3-0 Dolphins heading into halftime, scoring an unassisted goal in the 29th minute.

In the second half, it was more of the same from the Dolphins as sophomore Lauren Starmer (Oviedo, Fla.) scored her first goal of the season in the 52nd minute. Heiremans added her second goal of the game 48 seconds later to give JU a 5-0 lead. Freshman Ranveig Aas-Hanssen (Skien, Norway) capped off the scoring in the 77th minute, scoring a goal for the fourth-straight game. Sophomore Stephanie Fowler (Seffner, Fla.) made two saves in recording her second shut out of the season.

The Dolphins return to action in Nashville, Tenn., on Sunday against Belmont at 1 p.m.
