JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU senior Vanessa Illanes (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) had a goal and three assists, while junior Inge Heiremans (Tremelo, Belgium) scored two goals and added an assist, as the Dolphins overwhelmed Stetson, 5-0, in Atlantic Sun action Saturday afternoon at the Ashley Sports Complex. It was senior day for the Dolphins, as Illanes tallied three assists in a game for the second time this season. JU improves to 13-1-2 overall, extending its unbeaten streak to 15 games, and 8-0-2 in A-Sun play.

With a 1-0 lead at the half, freshman Ranveig Aas-Hanssen (Skien, Norway) gave JU a two-goal lead in the 56th minute, as Heiremans found Aas-Hanssen with a loft pass down the middle and she beat Hatters keeper Jordan Rasmussen to the right side. The Dolphins scored three goals in the final 15 minutes to surge away from the Hatters as Heiremans connected on her 10th goal of the season, Illanes scored her 11th and Michaelene Cadiz (Lutz, Fla.) scored her third goal in the last two games. Senior Nathalie Virem (Madrid, Spain) recorded her first assist on Illanes'goal.

Heiremans gave the Dolphins a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute as Illanes found her on the left side off a free kick and Heiremans headed the ball inside the far post. Sophomore Stephanie Fowler (Seffner, Fla.), who recorded two saves, and junior Sarah Scalese (Brewster, Mass.) both played solid in goal for the Dolphins.

JU returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 22, as they travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to take on the Florida State Seminoles at 7 p.m.
