JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior goalkeeper Sarah Scalese (Brewster, Mass.) recorded eight saves for JU, but it was not enough as the Dolphins fell to first-place Florida Atlantic, 4-0, in A-Sun women's soccer action on Senior Day at the Ashley Sports Complex. Rhonda Jones led the Owls with a pair of first-half goals, while Janine Aylward and Denise Brolly also scored for FAU (13-3, 8-1 A-Sun). The Dolphins fall to 6-9 overall, 4-3 in A-Sun play.

FAU got on the board in the 9th minute as Jones scored on a header off a free kick by Danielle Castro to make it 1-0. Jones scored again in the 24th minute when she received a cross from Brolly and netted a goal from inside the box to give the Owls a 2-0 halftime lead.

Aylward made it 3-0 in the 54th minute when she received a long pass from the right side of the field by Kari Kaiser and scored from directly in front of the goal. Less than two minutes later, Brolly took a short pass from Christina Chang on the left side and scored inside the box.

Molly Keating and Megan Coyne combined for five saves for FAU.

The Dolphins return to action when they play at Campbell on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
