Women's soccer falls to #17 Florida State, 7-0

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- - Freshman goalie Leslie Rimer recorded seven saves, but it wasn't enough as the Jacksonville University Women's fell to #17 Florida State, 7-0, Thursday night at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Tallahassee, Fla. The Seminoles (3-0) out shot the Dolphins (0-2) 31 to 4.

The Seminoles scored three goals in the first half to take a commanding lead. Sel Kuraly scored off header with an assist from Kelly Roland around the 40-minute mark. Kirsten van den Van helped extend the Seminoles lead from an unassisted goal, while Kuralay scored another goal later in the frist half.

The Seminoles would score four more times in the second half, but Rimer and freshman goalkeeper Aine Feaser combine to record 11 saves for the Dolphins.

Junior Jenny Borschel had two shots on goal on the night. Junior Hilary Bricken and freshman Michelle Lavine had a shot on goal.

The Dolphins travel to Orlando, Fla.,this Saturday to square off against Buffalo at 4 p.m.
