JU women’s tennis closes out season with loss to UNF, 6-1
The JU women’s tennis team closed out its season yesterday in the SunTrust River City Rumble with a 6-1 loss to UNF.

The Dolphins (10-11, 2-8 A-Sun) were never able to find any momentum in the match as the Ospreys (18-2, 9-1) took the opening doubles point.

“We’re disappointed to see our season come to a close this early,” said JU head coach Shane Wood. “We started very promisingly but we just fell away towards the end of the year.”

After dropping the doubles point, JU’s sole victory in the singles portion of the match came from Eve Castaing, 6-3, 7-5. Castaing finishes her junior season with just one loss in singles matches this year – her first against North Texas. Senior Tatiana Soldatova fell in her final match, 6-3, 6-4.
