Women's Outdoor Track & Field finish eighth at NCAA East Regionals

The JU women's outdoor track & field team wrapped up the NCAA East Regionals on Saturday in Tallahassee, Fla. with an eighth-place team finish out of the 112 eligible teams.

The Dolphins 4x400-meter relay team consisting of freshmen Stephanie Brown, Danielle Davenport, J'Zotta Rolle and Unique Singleton finished 15th with a time of 3:43.86.

"It is a good sign for the future, having four freshman running the fastest time of the year," said JU head coach Ron Grigg. "I am very proud of our overall team placing amongst some of the nation's best programs."

On Friday, juniors Natasha Harvey and Shaquania Lundy finished first and second in the long jump to earn them a trip to the NCAA Championships that will be held in Des Moines, Iowa on June 11.
