J’Zotta Rolle named Atlantic Sun “Athlete of the Week”
Sophomore J’Zotta Rolle was named Atlantic Sun Conference “Athlete of the Week” on Wednesday following her standout season-opening performance at the UNF Spring Break Open on March 7.

In the first outdoor meet of the season, Rolle led the Dolphins by winning the 400-meter hurdles with a NCAA regional qualifying time of 1:00.77.

She also placed first in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles after running a time of 14.31.

“Getting a regional qualifier in the first meet of the season is a great sign of things to come for J’Zotta,” said JU Ron Grigg. “She has shown great progress in her sophomore season and I look forward to many more good things like this as we move along in the year.”

Rolle becomes the first Dolphin this season to earn the honor and the 14th athlete to get the accolade for JU since joining the conference in 1999. Senior Natasha Harvey earned two “Athlete of the Week” honors during the indoor season.

Rolle and the Dolphins return to action on Friday when they compete in the FSU Relays in Tallahassee, Fla.
